Dr. Ryan Pokrywka
Chiropractic Physician, Co-Founder
As the founder and co-owner of Synaptyx Health and Performance, Dr. Ryan Pokrywka brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and performance training to every client interaction. He is both a licensed chiropractor and a certified strength and conditioning coach, allowing him to bridge the gap between rehabilitation, injury prevention, and peak athletic performance. He earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Illinois State University, where he also worked closely with the university’s strength and conditioning program. He further expanded his experience at the Division I level working with the San Jose State University strength and conditioning program. Dr. Pokrywka went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine degree from the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois. His approach is multifaceted and individualized, integrating clinical sports medicine with strength training, movement quality, and performance principles. At Synaptyx, his mission is to help clients not only recover from pain or injury, but to move better, train smarter, and perform at their highest level—long term.

Dr. Kevin McGarry
Chiropractic Physician, Co-Founder
Kevin is one of the Co-Founders of Synaptyx Health and Performance Systems. He currently holds a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from National University of Health Sciences, as well as a bachelors degree in physical education from Illinois State University. A former NCAA Division I Football player, after graduation he turned his attention toward training and pursuing further education. Currently, Kevin treats a large range of musculoskeletal issues in a broad demographic ranging from fitness enthusiasts and weekend warriors, all the way to college & professional athletes. In his free time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, lifting, running, fishing and golfing.

Dr. Zach Tomanovich
DPT, CSCS, Lead Physical Therapist
Zach is our lead Physical Therapist at Synaptyx. He holds a bachelors degree in Exercise Science from Elmhurst College where he played football as a student athlete. Zach then went on to obtain his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University. Zach's philosophy regarding rehab is that exercise should be the foundation of every program. He is extremely passionate about training and loves working with athletes as well as fitness minded individuals to continue to push them - setting and hitting new goals along the way!

Tony Caruso
Performance Coach, Personal Trainer
With over five years of gymnastics coaching experience, Coach Tony brings a deep understanding of body mechanics, movement quality, and discipline to every session. Tony has worked with a wide range of individuals—from adults pursuing general fitness to athletes competing at the highest levels. Passionate about long-term development, Coach Tony specializes in guiding athletes from youth to professional stages, blending technical expertise with a supportive coaching style that drives results.

Dr. Dylan Parshall
Dr. of Chiropractic, Performance Coach
Dr. Dylan Parshall is a former junior and collegiate hockey player turned performance-based chiropractor and coach. He played junior hockey in the USPHL before continuing his career at Lewis University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise and Movement Science. In 2022, Dylan completed his internship as a personal trainer at Synaptyx, developing a strong foundation in performance training and rehabilitation. That experience fueled his decision to pursue a Doctor of Chiropractic degree at National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois. During chiropractic school, Dylan served as President of the Rehab Club and Vice Chair of the Sports Council, demonstrating his leadership and commitment to advancing athlete-centered care and evidence-based rehabilitation. He is currently in his third year as an Assistant Coach for Lewis University Ice Hockey, where he plays an integral role in player development, team preparation, and performance training for collegiate athletes. Dr. Parshall has recently graduated from NUHS with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and is dedicated to delivering high-level care and performance solutions for athletes and active individuals through the Synaptyx model.
